Hello everybody!! We figured it was time we had an update on what's all been happening this past month. Well, July ended with a Tayrien reunion up at Strawberry. Kathy, Ed and Justin went with Justin bringing his little friend Sammi with. Kathy drove and Ed read from "New Moon". Ed and Justin's first time through, Kathy and Sammi's second.(at least) The weather was much cooler then the Valley and of course there was plenty of food to fill our bellies. We enjoyed spending time with the extended family and got and gave updates on all the kids and happenings. It seem as though ever year we meet, theirs more and more of us. Andrew was there with his new little boy Charles as well as Alison with her fairly new twins. Erin Whitmer is due next with Britt not far behind.
That night, Kathy and Ed went and saw "The Dark Night", Quite impressive. We both thought Heath Ledger did a eerily good job as the Joker. It's long but very action packed and overall we gave it two thumbs up. Justin had seen it earlier in the week and raved about it as well.
Well, as of today. Ed, Kathy, Amanda,Samantha,Sammi and Maureen have all finished "Breaking Dawn". Justin, Sammi,Kathy and Maureen all went to the book release at borders the night before and picked their copy up at midnight. Kathy read it in two days. Samantha read it in one week then Ed just finished it. We are all sad to have the Cullen family leave our lives. For those who haven't read them all yet we'll just leave it at that.
Justin started school on August 4th at Desert Sonoran, and he loves it. He gets to where is Ipod while he works, and he skips lunch so he can go home early. He also doesn't have to go on Fridays. He really likes that part! He also started seminary at Mt. View this past monday the 11th. He rides his skateboard every morning to A hour seminary, what a good boy.

Yes, Breaking Dawn was so good. Has Justin not gotten that far in the reading? I am glad to hear that Justin is liking school. It sounds like he would enjoy it much better than going to Mountain View. I really enjoyed The Dark Knight too. It was a little violent but I really liked it. Steve had no idea that was Heath Ledger under the joker face. Because he has seen some of the movies I have with him in it and I can see why he couldn't tell it was him. He did a good job. Glad to hear all is going well!
Oh I can't wait to start the books! I just need to find time to sit down and relax!
Wow...maybe some day we'll make one of those reunions in Strawberry! We're never around for those...sounds great. I may be the last girl in the world not to have read "the books."
Hey I found your BLOG congratulations, I wasn't sure anyone in the family over 40 would do one, so I'm proud of you. Now those of us over 50 aren't that brave yet. I'm not sure what I would say on a BLOG other than "refer to my children's BLOGS" I'm sure you'll learn more from them than I could think to talk about. It's a little harder to have cute kids pictures when you're an almost always empty nester.I'll keep checking back. I loved the story of you being in the back seat for the date. That sounds like the reverse of taking your little brother along on a date. Who would ever do that? Love Jere
